Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Custody Rights prior to Legal Proceedings

My son and his wife are still married with a 2 yr old daughter. They have lived apart due to financial reasons for over a year and are now deciding to divorce. My daughter-in-law and her family have kept my son away from his daughter, refuse to let him see her and have only let me the grandmother have 1 visit with her mother present. My son has repeatedly asked for visitation and is willing to come to a child support agreement. My daughter-in-law has agreed to one visit which she did not come to the door for and has now agreed to a visit in a public place, which I also believe she will not show. Is there any legal avenue to take to get visitation rights for my son and myself(grandmother) that can be taken. She is causing my granddaughter to grow up without her father which I don't believe is right. There has been no legal action on divorce or custody at this point and it could take a while. My son cries everynight due to this stress that she is causing. Please help, a childs life is in grave concern and I need to know about avenues to take prior to legal ones. How can we go about getting visitation rights and make her have to allow visitation. My grandaughter loves her dad very much. Please help

Re: Custody Rights prior to Legal Proceedings

He needs to file for divorce and ask for temporary orders.

Until a Judge orders a parent to allow visitation, the parent has not violated any law.

Good luck!
