my sister is in icu and the father just got into the picture and now is taking over all rights at the hospital and with the children. he has stopped all the doctors from telling us any information and is now keeping the kids away.his mother is taking care of my sisters newborn baby and she is planning on taking them to california can they do this even if the father has a criminal backaground gone to jail for indangering achild and just got a job.does our mother not have any rights medically or for the wealth of my sisters children?

Do your sister and her ex have any court orders? Is your sister competent to be making decisions? You and/or your mother need to retain an attorney to assist your sister.
