custody of 11 yr old daughter

I have an 11 yr old daughter and her real father has never been around and is not on birth certificate.

my father wants to adopt her so we can share custody of her but I am not sure how to do or what�s to even call it any help you can give would be great

You would need to have the rights of the biological father terminated first. Keep in mind that you would have no claim to any child support once you have the father's rights terminated.

For termination of parental rights, it is best to sit down with a family law attorney to discuss your options. He or she could also describe the process for adoption once termination is done.
