Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
I D problem
I have not used my real identy in about 15 yrs. due to a ex stalking me. He is now dead and I want to resume using my real identy again. What is the best way for me to regain my identy?

It would seem that you are dealing with a few issues here:
If you never legally changed your name, there is nothing to prevent you from using your given name. The fact that you have used an alias does not mean that your family name is not legitimate; you just start using your real name.
You may have some issues getting credit, but if you have been using your correct social security number, it is just a matter of notifying your creditors and the three main credit reporting agencies, and they will be able to tie in your existing credit history to your original name.
If you have been using a made-up SSN you could run into legal issues that you will probably need some legal help in straightening out.
The other main pitfall you might run into is if anyone can make a claim that they were defrauded as a result of your alias.
Otherwise, most of this can probably be cleared up by establishing a paper trail as to your correct identity and notifying the proper people.
Before you make any admissions to anybody, I would suggest you speak with an lawyer. There is a concept called attorney-client privilege such that your conversations with your lawyer are held confidential, and he or she can advise you on a course of action to help you steer clear of trouble.
