Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
I, the Dad, have only an A.O.P. for my 7 year old son. I was never married to my son's mom and never took a DNA test. On the A.O.P. Order, I have joint custody of my son and pay for half of the school tuition. My son is on Medicaid. I do not owe any child support or owe anything concerning my son. My son is not mentioned in my will. In the A.O.P., there is nothing mentioned on who or what is entitled to anything when I die. Is the mother of my son entitled to anything of mine when I die? Is my son entitled to anything when I die?

The questions you are asking are complex and should be done in a face-to-face meeting with an attorney.
An Acknowledgement of Paternity is just that an acknowledgement. Did a court ever declare you to be the father?
It sounds like you need to re-do your will. You definately need to make sure that everything is done correctly or else your child can contest your will if you die. It's expensive and a real nightmare when these probate fights occur.
