Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
I am in Dallas, Texas. My ex girl friend has filed papers to put me on child support for her daughter. I had no clue this could be my baby until I received the letter in the mail. The baby has another guys last name i believe he is on the birth certificate and signed the AOP when the baby was born. Can she put me on child support if another man has already signed an AOP? The baby is a a little over a year old. Would she be able to do this or would a revocation of the AOP have to be filed first? We had a child support review meeting set up for yesterday but she didnt show up.
