Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

My daughter and I have a contempt of court charge for violating a truancy order. We have un-enrolled her and are going to homeschool her. The judge is making us provide medical paperwork and is going to make us re-enroll her next year. Can he do that? Whats the worst he can do to me, it's a class c misdemeanor and the contempt charge....three days in jail, another fine. i don't want to be defiant, but i am tired of jumping through hoops for him and the school distric.

You need to get a lawyer.

Your judge sounds like an idiot.
