Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

My daughter lives in Texas and has separated from her husband. Each party has a child from a previous partner. They each have a car in their own name. They own no property. Neither party has filed for a divorce. Since they are separated, at what point is she no longer responsible for his debts?

She is only responsible for debts in her own name. He is responsible for the debts in his name. If they have joint debt, they are both responsible.
