Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

My daughter who is 14 moved in with my fiancee and I. I work offshore and am gone for up to 30 days at a time. What legal measures do I need to have in place for my fiancee to be able to handle any school and medical issues or emergencies that may arise while I'm at work.
