Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Hi

My daughter is getting ready to go to court to get her little boy back, the reason the Dad has the baby is they went and filed Temp Custody just as soon as they could. This has all turned out to be a nightmare for me. My daughter has never even had a speeding ticket, never been in trouble, and the babies Dad is still on probation for controlled drugs, Assault and Battery, and last for interfering with a 911 call. They have my daughter do brain washed it would make you sick. Well I am wanting and I will hire a Lawyer for her. But when she told the daddy this he was furious with my daughter, he strings her along and tells her we will work out a plan for the baby, you do not need a Lawyer, trust me let her walk into the court room with out one and I can assure you they will chew her up and spit her out. I am almost finished with Law school, and what would you think if I were to go in and represent? I would be as fair as I possibly could, but of course the is what it is and that will make this boy look like he shrunk 5 feet. Would you even recommend me doing this? I really need some good advice is all. Thanks for your time. Laura

I also agree that she is in trouble because she does not have a lawyer. Hire one for her. Today.

Are you sure you are in law school?

One of the first things I learned in law school was that until you are licensed...

YOU CANNOT PRACTICE LAW IN THE STATE OF TEXAS WITHOUT A LAW LICENSE!

If you try to represent her, you can be turned into the State Bar of Texas for practicing law without a license and you will never be able to be licensed in the State of Texas.
