Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
Can my daughter sign guardianship of her children over to me?
My daughter says she will sign my two toddler grandchildren over to me because she is financially and emotionally unable to care for them. Her husband is in jail. Do we need a lawyer? Is this expensive to do?

Children are not like puppies. Your daughter cannot just sign them over. Either she or the husband can come back anytime and get them. Maybe that would not be want you want. IF you want to protect the children, get a lawyer and get it done right. Your daughter may not like it, but when the judge signs the paper, it's legal against her and her husband. Good Luck.
