Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

My daughter is 2 years old. her biological father walked out when i was 6 weeks pregnant with her. in the last year he has opened a child support case on himself but has failed to pay any of his payments. i am now engaged to someone who would like to adopt my daughter and her biological father has agreed to sign over his parental rights: what steps do i need to take in order to start this process?

You need to get a qualified family law attorney who handles adoptions. The termination/adoption process is paperwork intensive and it has to be done right. The attorney general needs to be served and will likely get involved.
