Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
I had my daughter's biological father's parental rights terminated about 6 yrs ago. He was incarcerated at the time, not in TX. At the time the rights were terminated there was a type of injunction set up, that I was under the impression it was a restraining order. It states he isn't allowed to come within 500 ft of myself or any member of my family, nor his he able to contact us in any form. I have received several phone calls at my job and several letters to my home. I have contacted our local police department and they state the papers I have are not inforced my arrest, nor or they even a restraining order. What can I do legally, to keep him from contacting me or my daughter. Since he has never formally made a threat, I can't put a restraining order on him. I am just scared for our well being, he was convicted of kidnapping. What options, if any, do I have? Pls help

You did not include your zip code so I can't tell where you live in Texas.
If you are in the Gulf coast area, contact attorney PATRICIA BUSHMAN at 713.807.9405. Talk to ARLENE in her office. Pl. tell her that FRAN sent you.
