Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

My daughters school released her to her father without him being on the emergency or pick up list. We have joint custody, but things have been going on and I was instructed by the Victims Assistant Unit from my city's police dept to not let him get her until things get settled in court. I dont think that the school should have done that. Is there anything that I can do?

Get a court order that says he can't pick up the child from school. Give the school the order, and they probably won't let him. Without an order, the school doesn't have a legal basis to deny releasing the child to her father.
