Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

One of my daughters is about to turn 18 and will be attending college. My ex-husband says that he is stopping child support and insurance on her when she turns 18. I don't think that we addressed college in the divorce agreement. We didn't haggle out anything when we divorced, so it was pretty much a standard agreement. Should he not be continuing his support as long as she is a full time college student?

Sorry - no!

Texas child support cannot be ordered for college.

It is totally voluntary!

Child support in Texas does not go beyond high school unless a child is disabled -- you did not say that she is physically or mentally disabled so no child support can be ordered for her.
