Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

death benefits

I am legally married to a woman who abandoned the marriage after just a short while. I came back to texas and went on with my life and fell in love with another woman and had 2 kids by her we live as husband and wife. My question is when I die does my legal wife have any rights to any of my SSI?

Re: death benefits

You can only be married to one woman at a time.

Therefore, wife #1 would get your ss.

I suggest that you get a divorce from #1 and then marry #2.

You cannot be common law married if you are married to another woman!

You also need a will ASAP. Otherwise, wife #1 inherits everything and #2 gets nothing!

Do it NOW!
