Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Im have come to the decision that I would like a divorce, we have a house together and I recently left because of the lies and fighting. Everyone keeps telling me I made a mistake I should have stayed because it means I abandoned my home and I will have trouble fighting for my half. Is this true?

No, it is absolutely false. "Abandoning the home" is beauty-parlor gossip talk, and is not a legal term.

File for divorce and, if you want to, ask for temporary orders that would award YOU the temporary exclusive use of the house. You can tell the Judge that you left because you couldn't live with your spouse.

Are these people attorneys?

Quit listening to people and hire an experienced family law attorney.

In the Houston area, I highly recommend PATRICIA BUSHMAN at 713-807-9405. Talk to Jessica in her office. Tell her that FRAN sent you. I can't accept litigated cases right now because my mom is really sick.

Good luck!

You need an attorney pronto!!!
