Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
Decree Child Support Is Less than State Minimum
I have reluctantly agreed to sign the Divorce Decree with an amount of child support that is less than the state standard minimum, because my ex states that it is all that they can afford, and I am trying to keep peace. How likely is it that the Judge will see the discrepancy and order the correct amount ''over our heads''?

Wow, have you ever gotten snogged. Judges do not read every word of every order they sign. Even speed readers could not do that. Judges look to see if both parties have agreed concerning the order. If you have agreed to orders and wish to recant, it is time to hire somebody. Good luck.
