Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
my decree states that I get my kids for my weekends throughout the year and plus mmmer 30 days. Is this standard visitation in Texas?

Not exactly. I believe you get the kids for a longer period if you provide longer advance notice to the other spouse during the summer. There is also visitation during holidays during alternating years. While Texas has a standard possession order, spouses can agree to anything they want. Keep in mind that the possession language of most decrees begins with the words "Unless agreed otherwise", meaning that you can agree to whatever you want to do.
I tell my clients that you can agree to whatever you want to do. The language in the decree is just in case WW III breaks out. In case it does break out, and you are doing something else, make sure you get a note signed by the other parent stating what those other terms are
