Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
I'm so depressed at this time on Mother's Day i found out that my children's father has temporary custody of my children. He told me that I missed a court date that, I didn't know anything about. I was notified by mail no phone call or anything so when we have our final hearing that's when I will find something out.

Something stinks!
You should have been notified. A constable or sheriff should have come to your door with court papers and notified you of a court hearing. It's required by the law for you to be notified of a court hearing.
You can go to the courthouse and read the court's file. A court's file is public. You cannot remove anything from the file but you or anyone can read it.
Court's are open Monday - Friday usually from 8:30 - 4:30 pm. The lawsuit would be in the county where the kids live.
Also, you can get a copy of the document. It's called a CERTIFIED COPY. There is a charge for this. Something like a $1 a page.
You need a lawyer. If you have no money, try to pro bono (free) services in your area. Go to the State Bar of Texas website and look for the free services in your area. Or call the United Way for help.
Many lawyers offer payment plans.
Or call your church and see if they can find a lawyer to help you.
You are entitled to visitation with your children. You are entitled to see your children Mother's Day week-end. Every Mother's Day WEEK-END for the full-week-end under a TX STANDARD POSSESSION ORDER!
