Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Desertion & Adultry

My husband walked out June 24, 2000. He moved in with another woman. He has not supplied any support financially. I realize there is nothing in Texas law to provide any type of support for joint bills without a divorce. I can not pay the bills. My credit is ruined. Can anything be done to a person that commits adultry and deserts his family or is this ignored by the courts?

Re: Desertion & Adultry

You need to file for divorce and then file a motion for temporay maintenance and support until the divorce is finalized. I am assuming you have a child that needs to be supported. If you have any further questions, email me.
