Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

I got a devorce in 2008 and my ex wife wanted the home. She refinanced and paid me for my equity. Now she is sueing me in small claims court for $10,000 because she had plumbing problems. She had not been living with me for about 6 years. There were no problems with the plumbing when I move out and gave her the keys. What can I do to defend myself?

1. Get a lawyer.

2. File an answer and counter-sue her for filing a frivolous lawsuit against you.

Unless there are some very unusual facts that you're leaving out of the story, her lawsuit is completely bogus.
