Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

disabled stepfather

I am a disabled stepdad,and have had my stepchild for 7 years over half her life.We both (Her and me)want to adopt her.Me and my wife,and our son,an stepchild all live together.Problem is I cant afford the fees a lawyer want to do this.Is there any free resources to help do this.Its ashamed a child wants a dad,and a man wants to be her dad,but has to pay thousand to do so.Her biofather cant be found.She has been my daughter for this long,And I feel that she is intitled to my benifits also,but cant get any because she is not my real child,only until I adopt can she get any of my benifits.Her real father,has never payed his court ordered support,or came to see her.She states that I am her dad.Is there any resources that can help in this matter.Thank You-P.S. I just recently became disable,I took care of all her wants and needs until a few months ago when I became disable.

They have a long line of people requesting services so you might have to wait but their services are free if you qualify.
