I want to dismiss a guardianship case and a protective order that my mom put on my boyfriend

The guardianship and protective order issues seem to be conflicting. More information is required.

Further, if the case is against your boyfriend, your boyfriend, if he is an adult and competent, will need to be the one who retains a qualified family law attorney who also has guardianship experience to represent him and who will need to investigate the basis for this case and defend against it, if there is a basis - OR - you can pay for, and retain that attorney for him.

However, the attorney will be representing your boyfriend, so long as your mother is not already his guardian and he is competent.
