Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Getting a divorce with AG's Child Support Review Order in place

My soon to be ex and I are about to file a petition for no contest divorce with a minor child. We have been separated for two years and since obtained TX Attorney General's child support review order with appointed conservators and child support payments specified. Not sure how to address this existing order in the petition. Do we have to mention it at all if we want to keep the things the way they are? If yes, do we need to notify AG's office? Thanks!

The AG order is called a SAPCR and the divorce is a separate issue; however, when you file for divorce there is a SAPCR involved when you have children. All you have to do is incorporate the same terms of the SAPCR into the final decree and you should be ok.

Since the A.G.'s office has been previously involved, they are now a necessary party to your divorce. I can assist you with this matter. Please contact me directly if you care to discuss your options.
