What can be done to get a divorce before the chapter 7 is final? I heard of a motion to lift a stay form. Will this work? I really need the divorce asap please help. This case will be for the 264th court in belton,tx
My chapter 7 is over but my ex is the one who is still going through it and trying to drag it out.

Yes, you would go into the bankruptcy court and file a motion to lift stay.
In the alternative, you can approach the clerk in the 264th and ask if THAT judge requires that the stay be lifted before he will grant a divorce.
