divorce and child support
got served w/papers, need to know what to do if wife had an affair w/a man while we were married, and then left me to go live w/this man while we were still married. what are my rights? she is now asking for divorce and child support? She wants to settle out of court, but I dont agree w/what she is asking. What is the percentage taken from paycheck for child support? Should I get legal representation? What can I do about her having an affair w/someone while we were still living in the same household?

You need an attorney to help you. If an answer is not filed before first monday after the 20th day following service, your wife could ask the court for a default judgment and get everything she is seeking. However, most courts will not grant a default if the deadline passes and you file an answer before she asks for the default judgement.
The percentage taken for child support depends on the number of children supported.
If you allege fault, the judge may grant you a larger share of the property settlment.
