Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
Divorce
I went to court this morning to get a prove up divorce decree. My case has been on the docket since March 07. Each month my spouse's attorney got a continuance until the case was dismissed. My so called pro se attorney got the case reinstated in February 08. Since nothing has happened. She told me she was waiting for the other attorney to withdraw last week. When I went to court today the judge refused to sign the decree stating my spouse has asked for a protective order. However, it was never signed and mine PO and temp orders were. The judges coordinator had me call my pro se attorney to come and explain the case to the judge but she refused. And is now claiming that my spouses attorney is trying to locate him so he can sign off on what I requested in the decree. She stated that she will withdraw if I want to do this myself. I feel that this woman is lying to cover her butt from the judge. Now I am stuck and don't know what to do.

Re: Divorce
Pro Se means I'm representing myself. You can't have a "pro se attorney".
