I am currently a military member who's been stationed in Fort Hood Texas for 4 years. I was previously a resident of Atlanta Georgia. I married directly prior to enlisting into the Army. There shortly afterwards my wife and I ran into issues thus leaning towards divorce. There was a brief reconciliation period for which she moved to texas for 2 months after I graduated AIT, at which point we there was a domestic dispute where she was later arrested and charged with two counts of felony child endangerment and assault with deadly weapon. She moved back to GA with the kids (twins) and has been there every since. My questions are as follows. Do I file in texas or GA? Will she have to come to texas to do court proceedings. I ETS the army in about 70 days and move to SC, how will that effect the divorce process. I've also been paying C/S the entire time with no issues. The only issue we have is a visitation schedule that suits us both. I want to file immediately due to my time constraints with the military. Whats the best apporach to take in my situation? Can anyone recommend a good pro-father attorney in the area as well?
