Divorce Decree
My fiance' has been divorced for a few months now and has tried a few times to see his son. The child, by law, is to be with the mother, but the child lives with the mother's parents. My fiance' was to get his son around 6 pm one night and the mother never showed up with his son. He found out after calling his ex-wife that the child was sick, but never let him know before hand. To check on the child, we went over to the grandparent's home (they never answered the phone) and knocked on the door and they called the cops on us because my fiance' wanted to see his son. My fiance' had the papers from the court that says that he is to get his son every other weekend, but they have never let him go with his father. The cops said that the court papers are binding. Other than going back to court, what does my fiance need to do? We can't really afford an attorney and the grandparents said they are filing for full custody for them and that if my fiance' took his son, then they would be held in contempt. Please help us save his son from all of this madness. They also don't have him listed on any of his son's papers for school or medical files either. What to do?

Re: Divorce Decree
What they are saying is not correct. You'll have to have an attorney for this because you'll have to go to court to enforce the order. These facts will help you in court.
