Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

In my divorce decree I am ordered to pay my ex, who is ncp, a lump sum of $150,000 when my youngest child turns 18. If I refinance my house and legally pay her off early, is she required to pay child support off this lump sum?

You need to file to enforce her past due child support before the child turns 18. Talk to a family law attorney in your area immediately.

Property division and child support are 2 different things.
