Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

My divorce decree says that I must pay child support until my child is 18 and graduates from school (Texas decree). My child will graduate The end of May 2010.

Can my ex take me back to court to extend the child support?

My ex has had 2 strokes and is now on disability. I live in Houston and they live in Dallas.

Your ex can certainly ASK the Court to extend the child support, but the answer will be "no."

The strokes that your ex had don't affect anything.

The only basis for extending child support beyond high school graduation is if the child is mentally retarded, physically disabled, or has some other special need.
