Am I entitled to spousal support if we have been married for thirteen years, i have only worked about four years of the thirteen. my husband makes $100,000 year and i only have a high school diploma and make$25,000. We have 2 minor children together.

Mr. Grissom is right. You have to ask for temporary spousal support and the court will make a determination. Based on what you've said, you stand a good chance.

The court will consider the factors that you mentioned: Disparity in income, relative skills and education, the cost of maintaining a separate household, etc.

In addition, you can ask the court to order payment of your attorney fees from community property. Get your own lawyer. Your spouse's lawyer does not represent you.

If the children are living with you, you can also ask for temporary child support.

Entitled? You have a CLAIM under the Family Code. Find a good lawyer for temporary spousal support and during the pendency of the divorce and for the maximum period allowed under the law after divorce. Good Luck.
