Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Divorce and entrapment

A friend of mine has suspected her husband of cheating. He is a marine, and is currently in Japan. She had been getting calls from some of her other girlfriends( who are also married to Marines) saying that he was seen goiing into a motel in Thailand with another woman. She also had suspecte him of it before he deployed. She set up a fake acct on a friend and dating with a fictionary woman, and he has begun interactin with her in sexual innuendos, and hopes of meeting up with her for sex when he gets back to the states. Would that be considered entrapment. Would it hold up in court, and what would be your advice for her next action?

Re: Divorce and entrapment

Your friend definately needs to talk to an attorney in her county.

Being unfaithful, is normally grounds for a disproporiate share of the community estate. If there is no community estate, then it won't matter if she gets more than 50%.

Also, it is going to be difficult to get the emails into evidence. How do you "prove" they are from him? The court might also think that she's somewhat nutty for trying to "entrap" him. Perhaps he is trying to "entrap" her or is just bored and "playing games" to pass the time in Japan.

Who are these women calling? The must appear in court in order to testify. Notarized statements are NOT admissable in court.

Your friend might be wasting a lot of time for nothing.

I charge $100 to sit down with her for an hour and talk.
