Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

In my divorce my ex-husband received all assets and liabilities of our multiple companies. Several years after it was final the IRS said I owed them several thousand dollars stemming from a payroll tax that was not paid. The tax that was unpaid was during our "married" years and should have been listed as a liability to be paid by my ex on our divorce decree. He refuses to pay it. The IRS says it is my problem to sue him, because my SS Number was the first listed on our joint employers application.

Our divorce was in Arizona, he resides in California, I reside in Texas.

I recently took him to small claims court in Calif and won.

My question? Which state? How do I proceed. I don't have the assets to pay the IRS and it is ruining my credit, life and peace of mind. He has ample assets to pay but won't. Help. Thank you for any input. I am desperate - any help is much appreciated.

Your next step is to collect your judgment in California. I've collected judgments here in Texas but never in California; you need a California lawyer to do this.
