Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Divorce

When on files for divorce and have one child, can they leave out the child support on the divorce papers? I am thinking about filing for divorce and I don't want any child support. I think as adults we are able to work through maintaing support for our daughter. I don't need a paper forcing him and/or telling him what he needs to pay. Also, how much will it cost if we both are agreeable?

Re: Divorce

Generally speaking, judges require child support in the decree, unless the parties establish a truly joint custodial situation. Feel free to email me directly if you need additional information.
