Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
divorce
I filled my petititon for divorce in the state of Texas, on 05/22/2007, and the clerck only took the ORIGINAL PETITION FOR DIVORCE, and charged me the fee. i deliver a stamped copy from the same document to my spouse. Now my question is, when do i have to file the WAIVER OF CITATION?after 60 or 45 days i dont know what the next step is?

Re: divorce
You can file the WAIVER at the time you submit the FINAL DIVORCE DECREE to the court on the day you appear to PROVE-UP your divorce in front of the Judge. Be sure to complete the required State of Texas BVS form at the time you appear before the judge to finalize your divorce.
If you don't understand my last paragraph, then you probably need to talk to an attorney licensed in the State of Texas.

Good luck!
I usually don't recommend the divorce documents for sale in bookstores, office supply stores and the internet since most are not designed for use in the State of Texas.

You would be wise to pay for a little of Ms. Brochstein's time or that of another family law attorney. Isn't your future important enough to get this right?
