Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Once the divorce is final?

Once you file your divorce petition, they sign the waiver, you wait 61 days and go to court to make it final, can the other spouse ever come after you for more? Lets say you would like to share your thoughts on how you were more than fair on what you let her have (what she is legally intiled to) and you want to send an email letting her know this (as I feel she was greedy). Which this email may not come across too friendly. Should I be worried that she could get upset, try to go to court to get more & cost me money? There wasn't a lawyer or mediator involved as we agreed with everything on our own.

Re: Once the divorce is final?

If the divorce isn't finalized yet, you may very well be looking at a contested divorce now. If it has been finalized and you are still in the appeal period, she may very well ask for a new trial. Hope those thoughts were worth it!
