Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

My divorce was final 2 years ago, now I'm receiving paperwork about retirement benefits my lawyer didn't follow through with. Do I have to use the same lawyer to handle this or can I get a new lawyer?

Of course I don't know the exact details of you final decree of divorce, but you certainly have the right to retain a divorce lawyer of your choice.

I am an Austin Uncontested Divorce Lawyer and I handle uncontested divorces in the greater Austin, Waco, and Dallas areas for a flat rate of $875. The reason I tell you that is because (for that price) I only handle certain issues for my clients. So it is possible that your previous attorney wasn't retained to handle these matters, of course; it is also possible that your previous lawyer just didn't do what needed to be done.

Bottom line: You can always hire the lawyer of your choice.

You can hire anyone you want to use.

In the Houstaon area, I highly recommend PATRICIA BUSHMAN at 713-807-9405. Talk to Jessica in her office. Tell her that FRAN sent you. Good luck!
