Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Divorce

My divorce was finalized in 96 in CA. The divorce decree defines the term of marraige as five years and gave my ex half of my retirement. I am going to recieve a civil service retirement and feel that the judgement in CA is not fair. Can I contest the terms in a federal court in my home state of TX or do I have to fight this in CA?

Thank You

Re: Divorce

Your case in CA is more than 11 years old. I doubt that you have any basis at all to contest the judgment. Time for appeal runs out on these matters and when it's gone, you can't contest the findings unless you were in a coma or in a mental hospital when the case was considered and decided.
