Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
I just got a divorce and got the house. I'm getting a loan in my name. Is there anything else I need to do to make sure the house is mine alone? And, is my ex entitled to any of the equity I might receive with the new loan?

I assume that the decree has in fact been signed (by a Judge).
If that is the case, then anything that you acquire from now on is NOT something that your ex can have a claim to.
I assume that Mom signed a quitclaim or a special warranty deed that you've recorded with the county clerk.
