Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
Divorce
My husband wants to give me my share of what our homestead is valued at to pay off some debt I occured and to make me a little more independent. However, this is just what the property is worth, not the personal property. We also own some other property and he owns his own business. Supposedly we are not divorcing, but I am not sure what my rights would be if I did this. What are some pitfalls?

Re: Divorce
You need to go talk with a good family law attorney. Sounds like you need good legal advice before you agree to something you may regret.
