Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Going through a divorce

My husband left on April 28th 2007. He left knowing I didn't have a job or car. He has yet to give me my car back which is broke down right now and he said he isn't going to fix it. He has a running vehicle and a project truck. We bought about $3000 worth of parts for it with his half of the income tax. Can I sell those parts to get a vehicle so I can go to work and get the kids back and forth to appts? Right now I am having to depend on my family to pay my bills and to take me and the kids places. Can I sell those parts and if I did, would the judge make me pay him back?

At worst you might have to reimburse some wild community property interest. I presume he is not paying child support. I also presume you haven't filed for divorce or seek temporary orders for child support. not likely that you would have to pay it back under these circumstances.
