Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Divorce

My Husband and I separated in Dec. he left to CA right away. We have a 2 year old son. I want full custody of him. He told me he doesn't want custody, how can I start the divorce process and ensure my sons safety and custody. Being a single mom I have limited resources, I need to go economical yet not jepordize my son's well being.

This should not be an outrageously expensive legal proceeding. Many lawyers will take payments on this procedure. Shop around for a lawyer and ask how long it will take and if you can make payments.

Mr. Grissom is correct. It would be important for you to get the papers filed, and get him to waive process, and even sign an agreed order while he is being cooperative.
