divorce/401k

my wife wants to divorce me ,how can i protect my 401k from sharing w/ her .. does she has a right to claim that? i am 50 years and dont want to take the money out and pay penalty,,

It's a community property asset. She is entitled to half. You could offer her something else if you want to keep it. If it is valuable to you I urge you to get an attorney.
