Re: divorce law

Based on what you have written, there may be a multitude of ways to achieve your goal. First, you might want to consider retaining a local law firm to assist you with ensuring that your rights and interest are protected to the fullest extent of the law. Secondly, if you feel comfortable contacting the requesting law firm, you might want to ask that requesting law firm to re-schedule the deposition date and time due to a conflict. If the law firm is not agreeable to rescheduling, then you might have to file a motion with the court that the action is pending in so have the court potentially reschedule on your behalf. You might be careful with what you say and how you say it, as your words might be used later. If my local law firm can assist you with this legal issue or any other legal matter, please contact my paralegal Tina ([email protected]) to arrange for an initial consultation.

Re: divorce law

You need to file what's called a Motion to Quash.

Have you just tried calling the husband's attorney and asking if it could be rescheduled.
