I want to leave my husband but if I leave my home will I be able to seek legal help in order for me to get my kids, home and car after I have left my house but plan to seek a divorce.

I strongly recommend that you seek legal counsel BEFORE you leave home. You can certainly still go to the court and petition for your kids, home and car after leaving, but you put yourself in a precarious situation. Since you plan to get an attorney anyway, get one now, before you leave, so that you can do this is in the least painful way.
