divorce from someone I married in Ecuador

I am a U.S. citizen and I married someone from Ecuador. We got married in Ecuador. We both live in Texas now. We have been seprated for 3 yrs now. Can we divorce here in Texas or do I need to get divorced in Ecuador? We have no children.

The divorce can be granted in TX. The petition only contains information about the marriage date not where. Makes no difference in TX. Not sure about Ecuador.
