Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

After divorce

I met a man while divorcing from my husband that I could see myself marrying. I have kids and my kids love him. I was told that after the divorce is final, I cannot move in with him or any other man that isn't related to the kids. Is that true? Also, he is a registered sex offender, but not toward children. He was in the military and had sex with an intoxicated woman. If I were to marry this man or allow him to move in with me, would my exhusband have a chance to take the kids from me if there was nothing else against me? In other words, if I was otherwise a perfect mother, would my being with a sex offender cause me to lose my children? Thank you.

Having represented people on both sides of this situation, you stand a significant risk of losing your children.
