Perhaps this is not the best place for this question, since it's attorney's who are answering these questions. It's kind of like asking your doctor to give you a prescription pad so you don't have to pay to see him.

There are no "divorce packets". There are a number of forms sets available in stores and over the internet, but you get what you pay for. The current "ask the box" ad on TV for tax preparation software is a good example of what happens when you don't use an expert.

Even an "uncontested, no-fault" divorce is a lot more complicated than you think. Many family law attorneys offer such divorces for a flat fee. Find yourself a good family law attorney.
